How do I dispose of old window air conditioners?
I live in NJ and have a couple old window air conditioners that no longer work. Is there a special way to dispose of them?

- Try this link. http://www.supremerecycling.com/faq.htm#pickup If this does not assist a search in Yahoo - ewaste and New Jersey. You can find locations that will take or even pickup. Good Luck.
- i suggest that you leave them outside of your house with a sign: "Free works great." They will disappear quickly
- Call your garbage company or the city. Our garbage company accepts those kinds of things. We have a twice annually "cleanup" day that we can schedule for the company to come by and pickup bulky stuff. I think this service is included in the bill. It's a private company but if we didn't pay our bill, the company has the right to place a lien against the property. The city promotes this service because it controls llegal dumping (like the nuisance when people abandon stuff on sidewalks, alleys, vacant lots).
