- i dont know
- Time to break out the "Yellow Pages" and make some calls. Tell them the problem, ask for an estimate.
- for our fiat stilo we paid £300 to have it regassed and checked
- It's blooming expensive as they need to book and aircon specialist. Probably in the low hundreds.
- AC is a closed system. If it has a leak then it may cost alot. you need to know what is wrong to get an accurate cost of repairs
- depens what is found some times thell check it free other shops charge big bucks shop around and conpair if u dare
- $50 to $100 sears charges $100 an hour but my husband works in heating and air and they charge $50 and that includes replacing the freon
- Unfortunately the air con is a specialist system and very expensive to repair. If the gas has escaped then the system will need to be re-charged and then checked for leaks. Sometimes when the system has not been used for a long time it just stops working so when you get it fixed its worth switching it on once a week for a few minutes just to circulate everything and to give the compressor a whirl as they can seize up! The cost depends on what is wrong obviously but a re-gas is approx £100 but if the compressors gone or the condenser then your into £800 plus, best thing to do is ring round and get a few quotes for the diagnosis of the fault then make a decision about what to do next!
- Unless you know what is wrong with it (It is not working, is not a real good diagnosis), you can't get a good answer here! It is possible the refrigerant has leaked from a line connection, or compressor seal. It will need to be charged up to find the leak. It is possible that a recharge may be all that is needed. Sometimes seals will leak, then after a recharge will begin sealing again. A recharge only should be in the $60-70 range, but if parts need replacing, it can escalate to close to a thousand bucks to replace the whole system.
- It might just need re-gasing and it'll be fine again
