Rheem furnace - fan does not come on?

Hi, I have dual heat/ac unit the fan does not come on for heat; however, the a/c works fine. I have replaced the Fan Cycle control and tested the relays which are fine. I gas heat engages just fine and the unit gets got but the fan does not engage. My fan cycle control has a manual switch to engage the fan and when press an internal fans does come on; however, the large fan blades outside do not engage. Also, when bypassing the delay by pressing manual override on one of the relays the large fan does engage. What should I do next - how do I get a service manual for the unit. The model and serial numbers are below. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year, Tom Model# RRGF-05E2-4JKR Serial# WNA-4110-A-HA-A-F1488-3456 Thanks you for the answers so far: 1. When I depress the manual switch on the FCC(fan cycle control) the internal fan turns on. 2. As mentioned the gas comes on and gets plenty of heat. 3. According to Spring Rooster the outside fan is only used with the a/c. Thank you Rooster that is very helpful... 4. I still have no heat inside - please help.

  1. If you have a gas furnace as the primary heating device and do not have a heat pump, then the outdoor unit is not supposed to come on for heating. The outdoor unit would be used for cooling only. Therefor, do not expect the outdoor condensing unit fan to come on when you heat. :-)
  2. I'm not sure if i understand what your asking. If i read correctly, your furnace fan motor does not come on, so you have no heat being pushed out off the vents. Seeing as you have already replaced the fan control, I would guess the motor needs replacing. You can verify if this is the case, by using a voltmeter to see if power is getting to the motor. If the power goes to motor and nothing happens then replace it. If your are not comfortable doing this, i would suggest calling a hvac company. As for the manual, contact your local Rheem dealer, or contact Rheem directly to see if you can get a replacement.
  3. that sounds like its in a manufactured home unit. check the centrificle switch
