Is a Rheem multistage "Contour" furnace worth the $1000 extra it will cost me over their 2 stage model?

Both model offer approx. the same heating efficiency (about 92 to 94%). The contour also offers a variable speed DC blower instead of the AC blower that comes with the 2 stage model.

1. I love them, the downside is the replacement fan motor is around 600.00. I esp like the fact that you can leave it running on low, filtering air, and never know it's running.
2. The question is what is the house's actual BTU load (calculate the Manual J) and what is the output on the furnace. If the Contour output matches closer in the low and mid range then it is worth the extra because you pay yourself back faster in energy savings.
