do they sell extensions for the sides of window air conditioners?

there were extensions on the sides of my window air conditioner but they've dried out & aren't flexible anymore. Do they sell replacement sides to fit between the window frames & air conditioner?

  1. Hi, I hope you get some answers that say "yes" and they know where ... but my own suggestion is to call the company that manufactures your AC (probably have an 800 number) and tell them the model number and they would most likely send you some (for a price). I had that problem and before I thought of calling the mfgrr i created my own fill-ins with several rows on each side of the AC of wide packing tape from the sill up to the bottom of the window. worked nicely.
  2. Yes, they make them but I always make them from plywood. It makes a better fit and it keeps the bugs out.
  3. I agree with chuck..simply make your own...They get brittle after awhile and i wouldn';t pay the price of new ones, if the ac is not obsolete as it is... Plywood painted to match and fitted is an easier way
