::::::::::::Furnace::::::::::::::::? So i went to turn on my furnace for the first time this year and no heat will blow out.....there is a fire going good in it ....but no heat will blow out....like it wont turn on.....what could be some problems

Does furnace duct work need to be replaced when an old furnace is replaced with a new furnace? We are replacing our furnace and do not know if the duct work needs to be replaced to. Also our furnace is 19 years old and so is the duct work.

If furnace is electric why is the gas bill high? I have a vacant home in Utah, built in yr 2001, and the only thing running is the furnace which is electric. Why does my furnace create an odor when running? This is my 1st winter in a cottage that I am renting. Why is my natural gas furnace making buzzing sounds? I have a natural gas furnace and noticed that on an intermittent basis it makes a buzzing sound. Is it safe to store stuff in a furnace room? My house has a new natural gas furnace in a room tht is about 6ft wide, 14 long and 3-5 feet high. The room has an entry door, and a large 2x2ft vent going to the furnace and and exhaust pipe out the roof. How do I know what thermostat would be compatible with my furnace and air conditioner? I bought a new thermostat recently and hooked it up. I know the wiring is correct because I checked the wires all the way back to the furnace. The furnace is working, but the air conditioner will not turn on even though the wiring should be correct. Gas furnace draining lots of water while the heat is on.? My gas furnace has been draining a lot of water from the condensation tube for several weeks of heating now. This wasn't a problem the past two winters. I do have a built in humidifier, but I've turned it off for several days and it didn't change the amount of water that is draining. What is the source of high pitched noise coming from water heater or furnace? I just noticed a high pitched noise, very similar to some of the newer alarm systems, coming from the garage. Why is my electric furnace creating a burning smell? My furnace is causing my heat and smoke detector to go off from time to time. It creates a burning smell for a minute or two and then goes away and the detector stops beeping. My furnace is only about 4 years old and the filter is clean. I am uncertain if it is a dust or wire smell.

I received a proposal for a new furnace and heat pump for $9200.00 is this a fair deal? The furnace is a trane xv 95 80000BTU, heat pump is 3 ton w/coil xl16i and a honeywell IAO stat. It seems high to me.

Why is my furnace is making a loud noise and ground shakes when air conditioner is turned on? It was woking fine 2 days ago and today when I turned on the ac, themostat at 68, the furnace started to make a loud thumping sound and the ground started shaking.

I started smelling something when our furnace came on tonight and need to know if it could be anything harmful. This isn't the first time we've used the furnace this year. What to look for when buying a new furnace/air conditioning unit? Our furnace is quite old, and i have been looking into buying a new one, except i have no idea what to look for, or how much we may have to spend? We own a condo that is about 920 square feet, so i would think that we would not need a big one? Also our air conditioner is ready to take a poop on us, so i was also looking into the all in one units. Any help is greatly appreciated.
