Honeywell Thermostat with a Goodman Air Conditioner / Heat Pump How Do I Hook it Up???? I have a Honeywell Pro 4000 (TH4210D) thermostat with terminals labeled... E (emergency heat relay), Aux (auxiliary heat relay), Y (compressor contactor), G (fan relay), O (cool changeover valve), L (relay)*, R (L1 hot), B (heat changeover valve) and C (L2 common). *The L (relay) terminal is powered continuously when thermostat is set to Em Heat. The Honeywell guide also states to use either O or B terminals for changeover valve and install field jumper between E and Aux if there is no emergency heat relay. The Goodman 3 ton package unit with heat pump and 15kw heat strip has wires colored... Red (24v), Green (fan), Orange (Rev. valve), White (Heat 2nd), Brown (Heat 3rd), Yellow (cool), Blue (common). So, the main question is how do I make these connections up and what is the difference between the Auxiliary Heat Relay and the Emergency Heat Relay? Any and everyones help is greatly appreciated.

Will a goodman air conditioner work well with a heil a coil?

Goodman Air Conditioner? We just had a house built and they put in a goodman air cond. when it turns on its really loud. does anyone else have this problem? in our last house our unit was almost 20 years old and you could barely hear it when it came on. When the air comes out of the vents its so loud that i have to turn up the tv when its already a little loud, or if im on the phone i have to go outside to hear the person im talking too.

I just got a goodman air conditioner heat pump put into my house less than a year ago.? The AC worked for a little while but now I am warm in my own house and the AC runs all day long. The thermostat is on 75 and my house is 82 degrees. What can I do? What could it be? I called a Goodman technician and he said the AC is working properly. That can't be true since the AC doesn't go above 81 during the day. Any suggestions of what could it be so I when I call the guy again I can give him a clear picture of my problem. Any suggestions?

I have a NEW Goodman outside Air Conditioner unit outside and a NEW Goodman Air Handler inside. Both units are about 14 months old. My A/C unit outside stopped working a few days ago but my air handler was still working. My house was getting kind of warm (I live in a hot state) I have the company that installed me unit come by today and he discovered the cause was from a burned "Contactor" inside of the actual Air Conditioning unit (located outside of the house). Why would this Contactor burn out after 14 months? The company that changed the contactor said this usually happens after 7-8 years but not after 14 months. Any thoughts?

I was quoted a price today of 4300.00 to replace the outside compressor (leaked 5 pounds of refrigerant in 3 days) and the air handler unit under the house (I guess to match the compressor). Air Conditioner not cooling. Too much or too little freon? Goodman Manufactoring Company Model CK24-18 Serial 9807510241 Compressor was replaced 2-3 years ago Inside coils replaced 1-2 years ago In all the years I've had the unit (since 1998), it has never cooled the house. House has double pane windows and 8 inches rockwool and 4 inches corning (pink rolls) on top. Now it's "in the toilet". pipes outside were warm and dry. Temp outside was 98F and inside 85F and air in vent 78F. Next day, pipes outside are 1 1/2 inches of ice. Air still flowing across inside coils. Temp exactly the same. hvac guy comes out and charges with freon. Waited 3 hours. Temp outside 98F, inside 92F, air in vent 77F after running ac 2 hours. Pipes outside (big one) barely cool to touch, small line feel like "air temp". In early spring, inside coils would ice over about once a week. Air would not flow over coils. Shut it off an hour then turn it on, works. Even then, outside 90, inside 80, in vent 75. Help This is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area - yeah humidity is a mother. It is a moderate 3 bedroom house. The A/C guy put in 5 lbs of freon - just found out how much. Seems a lot. At this point i'm suspecting 2 problems: leak and puny 2 ton. For some reason, I thought it was 3 ton. A/C guy going to try to come back Saturday $$$$$. Right now (10:45 PM), outside 88F, inside 87F, vent 74F.

When shopping for air conditioner, for the same price,do I go for the brand OR go for the longer warranties? Help me choose a AC for the same price however different options: 1) use the lowest brand (Goodman/Amana) however with 10y parts and labour warranty and is with the company who did our furnace with the builder on our new home 2) used a 20y old independent dealer for a better brand (York) with a discontinued model however offering both 10y parts/labour 3) used a dealer who is in the market for 6y with 2008 model and 5y parts/1y labour. need help wiring a white rodgers thermostat (1F86-0471) to a goodman airconditioning system (GPH1336H21A)? the manuals for the thermostat and air conditioner does not match up. i don't know where each wire is supposed to go. also i have no idea what ss or hp means, i think i have to pick one or the other.... man i wish i had a boyfriend who could help me out lol. any guys out there willing to help me out. thanks in advance
